The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) was established under the Health and Social Care Act 2003, and operational on 1 April 2004. Incorporating the work of the former Social Services Inspectorate (SSI), the SSI/Audit Commission Joint Review Team and the National Care Standards Commission (NCSC), the CSCI is now the single independent inspectorate for social care in England. |
